Opportunity:
Assist the Food Pantry Garden Administrator by updating volunteer opportunities online, helping with scheduling, sending volunteer emails and updating data. Approximately one hour of volunteer commitment per week during the gardening season (April to October).
Who we are:
The Food Pantry Garden is a Blackhawk ministry created to provide healthy home grown produce to the hungry in our community. We are located on the northwest corner of Veritas and Mineral Point Road.
What we do:
We are an Affiliated Garden with Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens, Inc. Thousands of pounds of produce is harvested from this site each year and is delivered to Community Action Coalition which distributes to local area food pantries. Hours include Monday 5:30 pm-dark and Thursday 5:30pm-dark, Spring to Fall.
