Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN)
) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting poverty and ending hunger locally. BPNN operates a food pantry that serves food-insecure households in Dane County, Wisconsin. When COVID is not impacting operations, they offer a free community meal on 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month, nutrition education & culinary arts classes in their commercial-grade kitchen, a community garden, and free legal advocacy focused on ending homelessness and leveling the playing field for people with limited financial means. Serving Opportunities:
- Community Meal Server - Gather some friends and help serve a community meal at BPNN! The purpose of the meal is to encourage a more cohesive, resilient community and build support for BPNN's mission to end hunger and poverty on a local level.
- Food Demonstrator - Prepare recipes to feature items in the food pantry and offer samples and nutrition information to guests waiting for services.
- Food Pantry Volunteer - Help shoppers through the food pantry, stock products on shelves and in coolers, and help with intake of food donations.
